The internationally acclaimed fashion designer Kofi Ansah has passed away this weekend.
Cause of his death remains unknown but reports suggests that he died on Friday.
In CAN 2008 African Cup of Nations which was hosted in Ghana, Kofi Ansah was credited for the costumes at both the opening and closing ceremonies. In 2012 he received a lifetime achievement award during the Tigo Glitz Africa Fashion Week.
With 1st Class honors in Chelsea School of Art in London and distinction in design technology, Ansah was one of the greatest fashion designers that changed the face of fashion designing in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
He believed he inherited his creative talents from his father who was a photographer, classical musician, creator and encouraged him to chase his interest in art and design.
Ansah was also a founding member, patron and president of the Federation of African Designers. He has exhibited his deigns in Rome and London, featuring in The Times India Newspapers.
