Lagos plane crash: 8 deaths confirmed An official from the National Emergency Management Agency has said that eight bodies have been removed from the passenger plane that crashed in Lagos on Thursday. According to a report by AFP, one other passenger was seriously injured and taken to a hospital. "We have recovered eight bodies so far, while one person who is badly injured is being taken to the hospital. The rescue operation is still on. It was a small (charter) plane operated by Associated Airlines," Ibrahim Farinloye of the National Emergency Management Agency told AFP. AFP reports that there were 20 passengers on board the plane headed for Akure that crashed shortly after take-off at Murtala Muhammad International Airport and made a crash-landing on the runway.
